After the exit poll in West Bengal, BJP leaders have claimed change. The party says that the feedback received at the grassroots level is clearly indicating that the public wants change this time.
BJP leader Agnimitra Paul told IANS, “We do not need to look at exit polls, because we are among the public 24 hours a day and take feedback directly from them. In the last six months, especially the last three months, we have clearly seen that the mood of the people is in favor of change.”
He said that exit polls are also indicating the same. Also quoting Union Home Minister Amit Shah, he said that the target of ‘crossing 200’ will be achieved and BJP government will be formed in the state.
Commenting on the election process, BJP spokesperson Tuhin Sinha said that this time very few irregularities have been seen. Compared to 2021, this time the irregularities are almost negligible. The biggest thing is that not a single person died in election violence.
BJP spokesperson Debjit Sarkar said that the party does not depend on exit polls. He said, “These are just projections. Even in Haryana and Delhi, the predictions were not in our favour, but we formed the government there. The real thing is the ground feedback and public mood, and we are confident that the BJP will form the government in Bengal.”
Speaking on the voting percentage, Debjit Sarkar said that people turning out in large numbers to vote is a positive sign for democracy. It is a good thing that people voted without any problem and returned home safely. If this increase is due to SIR, then it is also welcome.
