Suvendu Adhikari’s allegation, raised duty leak issue before counting of votes!

Before the counting of assembly elections in West Bengal, BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has made serious allegations. He said that some officers are sharing sensitive information related to their duties, location and responsibilities with departmental organizations and associations. He has demanded the Election Commission to take immediate cognizance of the matter.

BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari posted on social media platform

I have received information that some spreadsheets and lists are being circulated in which officials are filling their ‘election duty information’ either voluntarily or under some pressure. “It also includes details of their specific roles during the vote counting process.”

Suvendu Adhikari also shared screenshots of some WhatsApp messages along with the social media post. He said that this is a serious violation of election related rules.

The BJP leader said, “The sanctity and credibility of the counting process depends on the confidentiality of the deployment of personnel involved in it. Any breach of this confidentiality directly impacts the fairness of the results.

“When the specific details of an officer’s posting become known to any politically inclined organization or association, it creates scope for undue political influence and pressure (threat).”

He has demanded the Election Commission and the Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal to take immediate cognizance of the matter. The BJP leader has appealed that strict instructions should be issued to prevent officials from sharing their counting duties with any organization or association and organizations collecting such information should be investigated.
