New Delhi: A new star is emerging in the sky of Indian cricket. Young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi from Bihar is impressing everyone by breaking many records in his 14th year. He has performed well while playing for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025.
Now all eyes are on this young cricketer to see when he will wear the jersey of the Indian team. His childhood coach has given an important statement in this regard, in which he has shared information about Vaibhav’s preparations.
Vaibhav’s incredible journey in IPL
Vaibhav Suryavanshi made it to the IPL auction at the age of just 13, where he was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.1 crore. In his debut match in the 2025 season, he surprised everyone by hitting a six on the very first ball.
This season, he played 7 matches and scored 252 runs at a strike rate of more than 200. These also include a century, which he completed in just 35 balls. This is the second fastest century in IPL history.
Coach’s important statement
Vaibhav’s childhood coach Manish Ojha believes that this young player is fully prepared for the Indian team. Speaking to India Today, Manish Ojha said that Vaibhav is a perfect fit for at least the T-20 team.
In the IPL, he faced many international and top domestic bowlers and played shots fearlessly. The coach said that Vaibhav is capable not only of T-20 but also of ODI format. He also said that ‘soon he should get a chance, which will create a new record for India and inspire young players. Vaibhav handles pressure very well and plays comfortably even on big fields.
Youngest debut in history
Only a few players in the world have played international cricket at the age of 14. Pakistan’s Hasan Raza made his Test debut at the youngest age in 1996. Apart from this, some players from Kuwait and Sierra Leone are also included in this special list. If Vaibhav gets the opportunity, India’s name will also be added to this exclusive club.
