Ranchi: Cricket’s new generation star, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, is back in the headlines. He has surprised everyone with his stormy batting in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26.
He scored a record-holding century in the match held at JSCA Oval Ground, Ranchi on Wednesday, 24 April. During this, he broke the old record of former Indian player Yusuf Pathan.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who plays for Arunachal Pradesh, completed his century against Bihar in just 36 balls. This is the second fastest century scored by an Indian batsman in List A cricket. This achievement at such a young age is very special.
Yusuf Pathan’s record broken
With this innings, Vaibhav broke Yusuf Pathan’s record of century in 40 balls made in 2010. However, the record for the fastest century is still in the name of Anmolpreet Singh, who scored a century in 35 balls.
