A video surfaced from Rohini Court of Delhi is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which a heated argument is seen taking place between a judge and lawyers inside the court. This incident has sparked a new debate on professional decorum, judicial discipline and bar-bench relations in the courts.
Actually, it happened during a hearing in Rohini Court, where a dispute escalated between an Additional District Judge and some lawyers of the Bar Association. In the viral video, many lawyers are seen present inside the court room and the atmosphere seems to be becoming increasingly tense.
According to reports, sharp comments were made from both sides during the debate. Meanwhile, a lawyer allegedly called the judge a drug addict, after which the situation became more heated. Court staff had to intervene and prevent the dispute from escalating further.
After the video of the incident surfaced, the Coordination Committee of all District Court Bar Associations of Delhi issued a statement on the matter. The Committee criticized the alleged conduct of DJ-04 Rakesh Kumar V posted in North-West District, Rohini Court.
The committee said in its statement that the behavior during the court proceedings was highly objectionable. According to the committee, the advocate with whom this alleged behavior took place is also the President of Rohini Court Bar Association, hence the matter should be taken seriously.

The committee of bar associations has demanded strict action against the judicial officer concerned. Also, an appeal has been made to the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court that necessary steps should be taken to prevent such incidents in future.

The case has now become a topic of widespread discussion on social media and among the legal community.
