‘Netherlands’ water management is worth learning’, Gujarat CM praised PM Modi’s visit!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on an official visit to UAE, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Italy from May 15 to 20. PM Modi discussed several agreements with Prime Minister Rob Jetten in Netherlands. Meanwhile, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has shared several pictures of PM Modi with his Netherlands counterpart Rob Jetten.

Bhupendra Patel wrote in a post on social media platform

He said that the signing of the Letter of Intent between the Ministry of Jal Shakti of India and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management of the Netherlands for technical cooperation on the visionary Kalpasar Project of Gujarat is a historic development. This collaboration will open new opportunities for advanced water engineering, freshwater conservation, flood management and integrated infrastructure development in Gujarat.

The Chief Minister wrote that Afsloutdike is a global example in the field of water engineering, which converts challenges into opportunities through innovation and visionary thinking.

Gujarat’s ambitious Kalpsar project similarly envisages creating a huge freshwater reservoir across the Gulf of Khambhat, which will yield wide-ranging benefits in irrigation, water security, tidal energy, connectivity and regional development.

He said that we are grateful to Prime Minister Modi for continuing to bring global expertise, forward-looking technologies and transformative partnerships to accelerate India’s growth path. Under his visionary leadership, India is embracing world-class innovation to build a climate change-resilient and water-secure future for generations to come.
