UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a public meeting organized in Mahoba on International Yoga Day. Emphasizing on yoga practice, he also made a strong attack on the opposition. CM said that yoga inspires coordination in body, mind, intellect and soul. A healthy body leads to a healthy mind, a healthy brain leads to a healthy intellect, a healthy intellect leads to a healthy soul and only a healthy soul paves the way for public welfare.
Those who do illegal occupation create negativity with negative intelligence. His soul is dirty and his mind is corrupted. Such people working with sick mentality had sunk the state and defamed Bundelkhand.
CM Yogi inaugurated/laid the foundation stone of 88 development projects at a cost of more than Rs 697 crore in Modi Gram. A short film dedicated to the development of Mahoba was also shown here. CM Yogi said that this morning you all joined the International Yoga Day program.
India’s heritage received global recognition. The 12th International Yoga Day was celebrated grandly under the leadership of PM Modi. I also got the opportunity to join the grounds of the fort of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. These events were organized in 57 thousand gram panchayats, 825 development blocks, 350 tehsils, 75 districts, 762 municipal bodies of the state including Amrit Sarovar, village secretariat, development block, municipal body, district headquarters.
CM highlighted the spirituality, historicity and bravery of Mahoba, the place of worship of Guru Gorakhnath. He said that after 12-13 years he was able to climb Gorakhgiri mountain. Prayed to Bholenath there, then visited the place of worship (cave and temple) of Baba Gorakhnath. Gorakhgiri was established as a new center of tourist destination. CM congratulated the local officials and workers including MLA Rakesh Goswami, former MP Pushpendra Chandel for this initiative, cooperation and contribution.
CM Yogi said that he will install ropeway in Gorakhgiri and develop it as a center of adventure tourism. Before the Mahoba Mahotsav, the CM stressed on organizing local, district, Bundelkhand, state, national level competitions for a week to climb this hill and increasing the possibilities of opening restaurants, hotels etc. here. Said that by building Akharas symbolizing the bravery of Alha-Udal, we can again inspire the youth with heroic spirit.
CM Yogi said that Mahoba is a land of energy. Mahoba was once famous for festivals. The granite stone coming from here is not only used to make tiles or houses, but this land also contributes to the reconstruction of the country. This land not only produces brave men and women but also plays an active role in nation building.
Chandela kings extended public welfare programs on this land by digging ponds for water conservation. Our government has given global recognition to Dashavari paan here with geo tag. The effect of soil is that the taste of this paan grown here is not found anywhere else.
He said that the Arjun Sahayak project, built decades ago, could not be completed. Our government took it on mission mode and got it completed and invited Prime Minister Modi to inaugurate the project in 2021. This provided irrigation facility to thousands of hectares of land in Mahoba and Banda. Farmers got respect and the value of their land increased, due to which the farmers are happy.
He said that when he came to Bundelkhand for the first time after becoming the Chief Minister, he was stunned to see the connectivity, mining, forests and dominant land mafia here. The sisters here used to spend their lives carrying earthen pots but we implemented the scheme of providing water to every house for sisters, daughters and mothers.
Emphasizing on water conservation, CM Yogi said that Chandela kings had built ponds for water conservation. You should also try not to misuse even a single drop of water. CM stressed on preparing the ponds from the point of view of water conservation.
CM Yogi said that our government destroyed the mafia and connected Bundelkhand with the expressway. When the soldiers here join the army and protect the nation, the enemy trembles with the cannons and guns manufactured in Bundelkhand.
The day the BrahMos missile manufactured in the Defense Manufacturing Corridor of UP was fired in Operation Sindoor, Pakistan was apologizing and begging for its life. The missile proved that Pakistan would not be able to fight India. The government wants that in the coming time, Bundelkhand, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Chitrakoot, Jhansi should become the hub of the missile.
CM Yogi said that there is amazing energy in the land and the youth here. The action to develop industrial clusters for investment has been increased. The farmers who had given land for Kabrai Dam had not received the money for the land for years.
The government disposed of it and paid. The government takes action against those who exploit farmers. The countdown for those who are playing with the future of the youth is also certain. No one can stop the development of Bundelkhand.
He said that UP is creating its identity as a new state of new India. There was a time when mafia was dominant here and daughters and businessmen were unsafe. Anarchy had become the identity. The poor could not get rights.
Then Mahoba, Hamirpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, Jhansi were in need of recognition but now Bida is going to become the biggest industrial city in Bundelkhand. Work on the Ken-Betwa Canal Project is going on at a fast pace, once the work is completed, the water problem in Bundelkhand will be completely solved.
CM Yogi said that projects like Ratauli Dam, Bavani Dam, Kachnauda Dam, Chilli Sprinkler Irrigation etc. are being completed. In 9 years, the government provides the poor with ration, housing, toilets, pension, a package of Rs 25,000 for the education of the daughter from birth to graduation, and Rs 1 lakh in the mass marriage scheme.
The District Magistrate gets the wedding card of a poor daughter printed and ministers are involved in it. The government is solving all the problems like treatment, electricity, cooking gas etc.
He said that Mahoba should again be seen touching the heights of development. This festival should be recognized as a destination and folktales should get global recognition. It should be expanded by combining folk traditions with old instruments. Dashavari paan became the identity of this place. The government is with you to increase the possibilities along with increasing the work towards giving global recognition to the products here.
