145 FIRs against our workers in 3 months, more than 160 arrested: Sanjay Singh
On the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party’s Gujarat State President Ishudan Gadhvi, many leaders including the party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal have launched a scathing attack on the BJP. Ishudan Gadhvi had reached the police station to get information about the illegal arrest of party workers. On this dictatorship of the BJP government, Arvind Kejriwal said that in the last three months, 145 FIRs have been filed against Aam Aadmi Party workers in Gujarat and more than 160 workers have been arrested by the BJP government. Due to fear of defeat in Gujarat, BJP is deeply troubled by the Aam Aadmi Party and has now resorted to dictatorship. As a result of this fear, the party’s Gujarat state president Isudan Gadhvi was arrested on Thursday. Now every person of Gujarat will take revenge from BJP. Only the people of Gujarat will break this arrogance and atrocities of BJP.
On the other hand, while addressing a press conference at the party headquarters, Sanjay Singh said that in the last three months, 145 FIRs have been filed against Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers and about 160 leaders and workers have been arrested. They were jailed, tortured and pressurized to bend to their side, but the party workers and leaders stood like a rock.
Sanjay Singh said that on Tuesday, AAP worker Deepak Kumar was beaten up by some goons. When he went to the police station with his complaint, the police arrested him and imposed Section 307 on him. After this, when the party’s state president Isudan Gadhvi went to the police station to advocate for his worker, he was also arrested. Isudan Gadhvi has a long history, as a journalist he has worked to awaken the people of Gujarat and as a leader and brilliant speaker, he has been strongly raising public issues. Sanjay Singh asked that if this is not bullying and nervousness of BJP then what else is it?
Sanjay Singh said that the treatment being meted out to Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers in the stronghold of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah is a clear indication that they are scared. Seeing the people gathering in Arvind Kejriwal’s rallies, they can see that his rule and throne which has been going on for years is about to be shaken. Reminding the Prime Minister of the history of Gujarat, he said that before 1975, due to the agitation regarding increase in mess fees in medical and engineering colleges, the then government of Gujarat had to resign and step down from power.
Sanjay Singh further said that Isudan Gadhvi has a hold on the entire Gujarat and the government will not be able to suppress him by taking such action against him. People of Aam Aadmi Party go to jail, get beaten, face cases and come out and fight again. Isudan Gadhvi is also a brave leader and he will also come out and fight again. “AAP” leaders cannot be bowed down.
Sanjay Singh further said that the amount of arrogance that the government shows, the amount of oppression it commits, the amount of cases it files and puts in jail, it continuously becomes the reason for its downfall. Only Aam Aadmi Party will bring about the downfall of BJP in Gujarat and will wipe them out. The entire party including the party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal is standing with Isudan Gadhvi. Recently, Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann had gone there and huge rallies were held there. It may be due to his nervousness or he may be nervous as Panchayat and Municipal Corporation elections are about to come. Whatever may be the case, there is panic in BJP at present.
Sanjay Singh, on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party, demanded from the Gujarat government that the arrest action taken against Isudan Gadhvi and the false cases filed against the AAP worker should be immediately released. Otherwise, Aam Aadmi Party will make further strategy regarding this and along with its national convenor, will make a comprehensive plan and fight this fight.
Senior leader of Aam Aadmi Party and in-charge of Punjab, Manish Sisodia said that BJP, which has ruined the entire country, does only one thing, put anyone who raises his voice in jail. The arrest of AAP’s Gujarat President Ishudan Gadhvi is also a proof of his frustration. The people in power should remember that the public is watching everything and when the time comes, the same public also gives a strong reply.
Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi State Convener Saurabh Bhardwaj expressed strong objection to the arrest of Ishudan Gadhvi and said that for the last several days, Gujarat Police has been continuously arresting our Aam Aadmi Party workers and leaders in Gujarat. Just now the news is coming that BJP Police of Gujarat has also arrested Gujarat Aam Aadmi Party President Ishudan Gadhvi. I want to ask why is BJP so afraid brother?
Aam Aadmi Party’s Gujarat in-charge Gopal Rai said that the BJP government of Gujarat is so scared of the growing popularity of the Aam Aadmi Party and the party’s brave, fearless workers and leaders that it is arresting our people somewhere or the other every day. Expressing strong objection to this, he said that when Aam Aadmi Party’s Gujarat state president Ishudan Gadhvi came to meet the arrested workers at Khambhalia police station, the police arrested him too, which is sheer dictatorship.
Senior AAP leader and Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Atishi said that the people of Gujarat are deeply fed up with the BJP and have made up their mind to oust them from power in the 2027 assembly elections. Due to this panic, BJP police is registering false cases against those leaders and workers of Aam Aadmi Party who are strongly opposing the government. Such arrogance of power is not good. History is witness to the fact that the more atrocities a government commits, the stronger the public will teach it a lesson in the future.
Durgesh Pathak said that BJP’s hooliganism is at its peak in Gujarat. For the last several months, BJP has been making every effort to break and intimidate the Aam Aadmi Party workers. For the past several days, the police have been calling AAP workers to the police station, harassing and threatening them. Serious cases like 307 are being registered against the workers and they are being put in jail. Today, when Isudan Gadhvi went to meet the SHO to ask why this was happening, instructions came from Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi to arrest him immediately. After this Isudan Gadhvi was arrested there.
Durgesh Pathak further said that the hooliganism and dictatorship of BJP is at its peak. They are going to leave from Gujarat because the people there have now awakened. BJP is worried and does not understand what to do, hence it is just running its dictatorship from all sides.
Gujarat Police is continuously targeting AAP leaders and workers.
The police of BJP ruled Gujarat is continuously targeting the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party. Chaitra Vasava, a prominent tribal leader and MLA, was sent to jail along with his entire family and was kept in Vadodara jail for three months, but after coming out, he is fighting again. Similarly, farmer leader Praveen Ram was caught and sent to jail for fighting for crop prices and Dr. Kainat Ansari for raising the issue of liquor ban.
In the last few months, dozens of activists were arrested and sent to jail, including Naveen Kakran, Munna Kumar, Alok Singh, Puneet Raj, Pawan, Jagdish, Puneet Singh, Ish Kumar Arora, Kamlesh Kotecha, Atul Begad, Kunal Shah, Nitesh Chaudhary, Kunalbhai, Ritesh Patel, Vijay Patel, Nitinbhai, Suraj, Harsh, Vijay Singh Chavda, Shyam Sundar, Pawan, Sitaram Bhoye, Krishna Kumar Yadav, Vismay Tyagi, Hareshbhai Savaliya, Sunil Chhatasia, Ravindra Kumar and Atul Ojha were also caught and put in jail. These are just a few names. The BJP government of Gujarat has arrested many AAP leaders and workers, put them in jail and harassed them.
