Preparing for the upcoming difficult schedule, Jasprit Bumrah was seen training with red-ball!

Indian cricket team’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was seen bowling with the red ball during practice in Ahmedabad, which shows that he is preparing for the upcoming difficult schedule.

The 32-year-old fast bowler shared pictures from the training session on his Instagram account on Sunday, in which he was seen bowling with the Red SG ball. During this time, fellow players of Gujarat’s home team were also watching him.

For the last few days, Bumrah has been training with his home team teammates at the Gujarat College Ground. He was last seen playing in IPL on 20 May 2026.

Bumrah has been rested from the T20 series against Ireland and England, but he will be part of the three-match ODI series against England, starting from July 14. Bumrah is going to be seen playing in this format for the first time after ODI World Cup 2023.

Jasprit Bumrah was also rested from the one-off home Test and three ODIs against Afghanistan in June. However, Bumrah will be a part of the T20 matches during the Asian Games in September.

From a red-ball cricket perspective, Bumrah will be needed most during the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. This series is to be played between 15th to 27th August. The Test tour of Sri Lanka will be the first time that Bumrah will play a red-ball match in this island country. After this, the two-match Test series against New Zealand will start from November 19.

The Indian team is at fifth position in the points table of the World Test Championship with 48.15 percent points (PCT) after 9 matches. In such a situation, Bumrah’s form will be very important to increase his chances of securing a place in the final match.

Jasprit Bumrah has taken 234 wickets in 52 Test matches at an average of 19.79. At the same time, this right-handed bowler has taken 149 wickets in 89 ODI matches. Bumrah has taken 121 wickets in 95 T20 matches.
