Rijiju called a meeting with NCPI floor leader before the monsoon session!

Before the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament, the Central Government has intensified coordination efforts with all political parties. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has written a letter to National Citizens Party of India (NCPI) leader Sudip Bandyopadhyay, inviting him to attend the meeting of all-party floor leaders to be held on July 19.

Rijiju said in his letter that he is aware that 20 MPs including Sudip Bandyopadhyay have recently joined the National Citizens Party of India (NCPI). The party has also requested the Lok Sabha Speaker to grant official recognition, which is currently under his consideration.

In the letter, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister wrote that a meeting of floor leaders of various political parties of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha has been called to discuss important issues and legislative work to be raised in Parliament during the upcoming monsoon session. This meeting will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at 11 am in the Main Committee Room of Parliament House Annexe.

In the letter, Kiren Rijiju has appealed to Sudip Bandyopadhyay for cooperation in the smooth functioning of both the houses of Parliament. He has also requested Dr. Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, the nominated Chief Whip of NCPI, to attend the meeting.

At the end of the letter, Rijiju has cordially invited both the leaders, expressing his hope for their participation in the meeting. This meeting is being organized with the aim of establishing communication between the government and the opposition before the monsoon session of Parliament and to run the proceedings of the House smoothly.
