New Delhi. Terrorism Expert Working Group: The 14th meeting of ASEAN countries' meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus) and Anti-Terrorism Expert Working Group (EWG) will be held in New Delhi from the next 19 to 20th. India and Malaysia will co-head this meeting. Ten ASEAN members (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore and Thailand) and eight dialogue parties (Australia New Zealand, Korea, Japan, China, America and Russia) will participate in the meeting with Timor Leste and ASEAN Secretariat.

For the first time India will do Terrorism Expert Working Group of Anti-Terrorism EWG. Defense Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh will give the main speech during the inauguration ceremony. This will be the first meeting of employed activities for EWG on the detention of terrorism for the cycle running up to 2024-2027. The discussion will be focused on developing a strong and comprehensive strategy to deal with the emerging threat of terrorism and extremism.

The purpose of the meeting is to share the ground experience of ASEAN's defense forces and its dialogue partners. It will lay the foundation of employed activities, exercises, seminars and workshops for the 2024–2027 cycle. The ADMM-Plus serves as a platform for practical cooperation among the defense installations of the partner countries. It currently focuses on seven regions of practical cooperation – terrorism combat, maritime security, humanitarian aid and disaster management, peace campaign, military medicine, human mine action and cyber security. EWG has been established to facilitate cooperation in these areas.

EWG is co-headed by an ASEAN member state and a dialogue partner after a three-year cycle. At the beginning of the chairmanship of the co-heads, the purpose for the three-year cycle is to determine the objective, policy guidelines and instructions, to conduct regular meetings (at least two in the year) and practice any form (table-top/field training/employees/communication etc.) for all member countries in the third year, so that the progress made during the three-year cycle can be tested.
