The health of the girl students deteriorated after eating halwa: There was chaos in the hostel of OBC Plus 2 Residential Girls School, run in Khari Basti of Sadar Block of Kishanganj district, when the girl students started falling ill after eating halwa served in their dinner. Gradually the number of children started increasing. More than a dozen girl students complained of vomiting and diarrhea.
These girls are sick: The students who fell ill include Nandani Kumari (12), Raj Priya (12), Sweety (12), Lakshmi (12), Rakhi (12), Saloni (11), Shivani (11), Sharda (14), Preeti Priya (11), Barsha Rani (11), Shivani Bharti (14), Sonakshi Priya (13) and others.
What did the doctor say?: The news of food poisoning created an atmosphere of chaos in the entire residential school. After the information, the school management called an ambulance and all the girl students were admitted to Kishanganj Sadar Hospital. Doctor Gaurav Kumar of Sadar Hospital said, “16 treated girls are victims of food poisoning. All are being treated.”

Negligence in school? , OBC Girls Residential Schools are run by the Welfare Department. On the information of the school management, the welfare officer and other officials also reached the spot late in the night. Sadar SDO also reached Sadar Hospital and took information about the matter. Sadar SDO Aniket Kumar said about the matter, “The girls have become victims of food poisoning after eating some food at night. At present, all the girls are fine. First they are being treated. After that, the matter will be investigated to find out whose negligence has caused the health of the girls to deteriorate.”
