18 candidates filed nomination in Tirhut MLC elections, know what is the political equation

Tirhut MLC Graduate Election: November 18 was the last date for nomination for the by-election to be held on Tirhut Graduate constituency. 18 candidates filed nomination forms for this seat. Candidates can withdraw their names till 21st November. Whereas, voting will be held on 5th December and the results of the elections will be declared on 9th December.

On Sunday morning, candidate Rajesh Roshan, who had rebelled against BJP and filed his nomination papers, died of a heart attack. After which 17 candidates will contest from this seat. If any of these candidates does not withdraw his nomination.

Death of candidate after nomination

If we talk about the last few decades, this seat is considered to be dominated by the outgoing Legislative Council member Devesh Chandra Thakur. NDA leader Devesh Chandra Thakur had resigned from this seat after winning the Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, in his place, NDA has given ticket to his nephew Abhishek Jha from Tirhut graduate constituency.

Devesh Chandra Thakur is considered to have influence

Apart from Devesh Chandra Thakur, former Legislative Council member Rajkumar Singh is also considered to have influence here. Rajkumar Singh has fielded his son Dr. Vinayak Gautam from the Jan Suraj Party ticket against the NDA candidate. At the same time, NDA and Jan Suraj Party will face RJD candidate Gopi Kishan. Apart from these three, many independent candidates can also spoil the game of these political parties.

All political parties have gathered for the by-election to be held on Tirhut graduate seat. He will be seen campaigning for his nephew on this seat which is considered to be the stronghold of Devesh Chandra Thakur. Now it remains to be seen who will be crowned victorious on this seat. Ramkumar Singh's son Vinayak Gautam is going to enter politics from this election.
