18-years-younger wife of Barbie Hsu’s ex-husband Wang Xiaofei denies feud with late actress

Speaking in a recent livestream, 26-year-old Ma said she remained on good terms with Hsu until her passing and urged the public not to pit them against each other, according to The Star.

“I’m doing my best to carry out what Barbie had entrusted to me,” Ma said, referring to her role as a stepmother to Wang and Hsu’s two children.

Ma reportedly often arranges time to visit her stepchildren. In March this year, a Taiwanese court appointed Wang as the legal guardian of the two children he shared with Hsu. However, according to The Standardsources indicate that Wang has no immediate plans to relocate the children from Taipei to Beijing, where he currently resides. When Wang and Ma are away for work commitments, the children are looked after by nannies.

Ma also revealed that she is seven months pregnant with Wang, 44, and plans to give birth in Taiwan.

Addressing critics who suggested she was having a child to claim Wang’s family assets, she dismissed the rumors: “You’re really funny. Fighting over what assets? Didn’t you all say he is bankrupt? If so, there’s nothing to fight over.”

Wang, known as one of Beijing’s “Four Young Masters,” a term for the sons of four prominent entrepreneurs, is the son of Zhang Lan, a successful restaurateur and founder of the high-end South Beauty chain, according to The Straits Times.

He and Ma registered their marriage in May 2024 and held a wedding reception earlier this year.

Wang was previously married to Hsu from 2011 until their divorce in 2021. After their split, Hsu rekindled her relationship with former boyfriend DJ Koo, a 55-year-old South Korean musician, and the couple married in Feb. 2022.

Hsu is celebrated for her iconic roles in dramas such as “Meteor Garden,” “Mars,” and “Summer’s Desire.” She passed away at age 49 in Japan due to pneumonia-related complications, her family announced on Feb. 3.
