2 players of Team India will go to Australia before the rest of the team, will play matches against this team from November 7!
KL Rahul and Dhruv Jurel will leave for Australia before other players of Team India. According to a report in the Indian Express, he will soon travel to Australia to join the India A team for some match practice before the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia starting in Perth from November 22.
Rahul played in the first Test match against New Zealand in Bengaluru, in which his performance was not special. Whereas, after Rishabh Pant suffered a knee injury, Jurel came on the field as a substitute wicketkeeper. The Senior Selection Committee of BCCI has decided to send these two players to Australia on Tuesday (November 5). Let us tell you that India A will play the second four-day match against Australia A in Melbourne from Thursday (7 November).
According to the report, the team management and selection panel took this decision because Rahul and Jurel have not got a chance to play much recently. The intra squad match before the first Test has also been cancelled.
The remaining players of Team India will leave for Australia on 10 and 11 November. The Indian team will train at the old venue WACA in Perth, while the first match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy will be played at the Optus Stadium.
