2 burger restaurants from Singapore named among world’s best
Meatsmith, a modern smokehouse in Telok Ayer neighborhood, known for its American-style barbecued meat platters with smoky brisket slices, pastrami burnt ends, pork ribs, pork belly and corn bread, secured the 50th place.
Its signature Wagyu cheeseburger features double patties, double cheese, house-made burger sauce and pickles, priced at S$28 (US$21.65).
Smash Street, a popular 14-seat burger bar at 50 Amoy Street in Singapore, ranked 58th on the list.
It serves smashed burgers topped with simple ingredients such as caramelized onions, pickles, cheese and bacon, letting the beef take center stage. Each patty is made from a blend of Australian Black Angus brisket, chuck, short rib and dry-aged trimmings before being smashed onto a hot griddle to create its signature crispy edges.
Prices start at S$14 for the classic double-patty burger.

The ranking, which evaluates the quality of ingredients, burger composition, execution and consistency, crowned London’s Bleecker as the world’s best burger place.
Black Bear Burger from London came in second, followed by Café Margaret in Sydney.
Judges also consider the overall guest experience, the restaurant’s reputation, the authenticity of its digital presence, sustainability practices and compliance with food safety standards when determining the final rankings.
Ekkehard Knobelspies, co-CEO of Upper Cut Media House, said: “A truly great burger is not fast food. It is the result of product knowledge, sourcing, technique, balance, consistency and hospitality. The best burgers in the world are created by people who understand meat, bread, fire, seasoning, texture and service.”
