2 lakh women of Chhattisgarh will get free cylinder, Central Government approves 25 lakh new connections

Ujjwala Yojana 3.0: The central government has approved 25 lakh additional free LPG connections across the country. Whereas 2 lakh connections have been approved for the state.

Ujjwala Yojana 3.0: A special press conference was organized in the capital Raipur regarding the expansion of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 3.0. In which a big gift has been announced for the poor people of Chhattisgarh. The Central Government has approved 25 lakh additional free new LPG connections across the country under Ujjwala Scheme 3.0.

2 lakh new connections approved in Chhattisgarh

The people of Chhattisgarh have been given a big gift in the press conference organized for Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojana 3.0. The Central Government has sanctioned 25 lakh additional free LPG connections across the country. Whereas 2 lakh connections have been approved for the state. The benefits of which will be available to women from weak and economically backward families.

10.33 crore women got benefits

Ujjwala 3.0 is being considered a big step towards providing safe and affordable fuel to rural and urban families. According to the government, till now more than 10.33 crore people across the country have got the benefit of Ujjwala scheme. Now 25 lakh needy women in the entire country and more than 2 lakh needy women in Chhattisgarh will get its benefit. Interested beneficiaries of the scheme can avail its benefits by applying to their nearest LPG distributor.

What is Ujjwala scheme?

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is a public welfare scheme of the Central Government. Under which clean fuel (LPG) is provided to poor and needy families, especially women in rural areas, so that they can get freedom from smoke-filled stoves and their health remains safe.

It was started by PM Modi on 1 May 2016 from Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. Now the third phase of this scheme, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 3.0, is going on across the country. Under this, free LPG connections are being given to lakhs of women across the country. The Central Government has approved 25 lakh new connections under Ujjwala 3.0.
