2 shooters of Lawrence Bishnoi gang killed in STF encounter, accused of murder of Hansi gym operator
New Delhi: In a joint action by Delhi Police’s Special Cell and Haryana Special Task Force (STF), two alleged shooters of Lawrence Bishnoi gang were killed in an encounter. According to the police, both of them were accused of murdering gym operator Kapil in Hansi, Haryana last month. The killed accused have been identified as Pravesh and Himanshu. Police say that both were absconding for a long time and a search was going on for them.
Action started after secret information
According to Haryana STF, Delhi Special Cell had received information on Sunday morning that both the accused were preparing to commit a new crime with weapons. After receiving the information, a joint team of police and STF laid siege and tried to catch them. As soon as the police tried to stop the two, they allegedly started firing at the police team. After this the encounter started in retaliation.
Constable injured in firing
During the encounter, a police constable was shot in the leg. Apart from this, the bulletproof jackets of four other policemen were also hit by bullets, due to which a major accident was averted. Both the accused were seriously injured in retaliatory firing. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The injured constable is undergoing treatment in the Super Specialty Hospital.
The case was related to the gym operator murder case
According to police investigation, gym operator Kapil was shot dead in Hansi last month. In this case, a case was registered against unknown attackers. During the investigation, the police found evidence that shooters Pravesh and Himanshu of Lawrence Bishnoi gang were involved in this incident.
Now the police is investigating this entire network. Officials say that it is being ascertained who gave protection to both the accused and which other members of this gang are associated with them. Further investigation is going on in the matter.
