Along with this, Rijiju also mentioned the controversy regarding speaking in the House and said that the Speaker had given a decision but it was not followed. According to him, Rahul Gandhi said that he does not need anyone’s permission to speak and he will speak as per his wish. On this, Rijiju said that the rules in Parliament are very clear, no member can speak without the permission of the Speaker.
He also said that even the Prime Minister speaks only when the Speaker gives permission. Every member has to follow the rules. He said that the speaker has a very calm nature, otherwise strict action could have been taken on such an incident. In fact, recently Congress has given notice of no-confidence motion to remove Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Since then, the dispute between the ruling party and the opposition is increasing.
