Indian team was limited to under 200 runs in Australia, top order flopped badly; Jurel saved his shame

India A all out for 161: The second match of the two-match unofficial Test series started today (7 November) between India A and Australia A in Melbourne. The first day's play has ended and the condition of the Indian team looks bad. The performance of Indian batsmen was very poor and the team could not even score 200. Team India's first innings was limited to 161 runs in front of Australian bowlers. During this period, most of the leading batsmen flopped, including the name of KL Rahul. However, Dhruv Jurel played a brilliant inning and it was only because of him that India's innings could reach a respectable score.

The condition of the top order is bad

Australia took full advantage of winning the toss and invited India to bat first in bowler-friendly conditions. Team India had a very bad start and suffered two major setbacks in the very first over of the innings. Openers Abhimanyu Easwaran and Sai Sudarshan were dismissed by Michael Neser in the very first over. After this, KL Rahul also got out in the second over after scoring 4 runs. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad also disappointed and could score only 4 runs. In this way, India lost four of its batsmen for only 11 runs. Devdutt Padikkal stayed for some time but then he too left after scoring 26 runs.

Dhruv Jurel struggled alone

The process of Indian batsmen getting out from one end continued in front of the Australian bowlers, while from the other end Dhruv Jurel got settled in front of them and was seen scoring runs. Jurel batted brilliantly in difficult times and completed his half-century. After this, it seemed that maybe he would score a century but then his innings ended on a personal score of 80. Once he was out, the Indian innings also did not last long. Nitish Reddy contributed 16 runs and Prasidh Krishna contributed 14 runs. For Australia, Michael Neser took the maximum of four wickets.

While playing the reply innings, Australia's start was not very special and captain Nathan McSweeney, who came to open, was out after scoring only 14 runs. After this, shortly before the end of the game, Cameron Bancroft also walked out after scoring 3 runs. At the crease, Marcus Harris is unbeaten on 26 and Sam Kontas is unbeaten on 1 run. Mukesh Kumar and Khalil Ahmed got one wicket each from the Indian team.
