2000 crore incentive to industrial units: Minister Nandi expressed hope that budget utilization will reach 87%

Lucknow, Read: The government has made huge investments in the current financial year to speed up industrial development in the state. While reviewing the departmental budget, Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi said that incentive amount of about Rs 2000 crore has been distributed to industrial units.

In the financial year 2025-26, the department was allocated a budget of Rs 28,864.98 crore, out of which approval for expenditure of Rs 19,218 crore (66.58%) has been issued so far. There is a possibility of additional approval of about Rs 6000 crore before the end of the financial year, which will take the total budget utilization to more than 87 percent. The minister said that due to better industrial policy, expressway network and airport connectivity in the state, Uttar Pradesh is becoming the growth engine of the country.

According to Principal Secretary Alok Kumar, Rs 2900 crore was spent on land purchase in the Yamuna Authority area this year, while significant investment has also been made on expressway and industrial corridor development.
