SRH Released And Retained Players 2025: Sunrisers Hyderabad came very close to winning their second title(as SRH) last season but failed and ended up as runner-up of the season.

After ending up in the last spot in the 2023 edition, SRH made a drastic change in their performance under the new skipper and ended up as runner-up of the 2024 season. With an uproar in the performance in the last season, SRH might not show an interest in swapping their winning combinations.

But the Hyderabad-based franchise might fix their minor mistakes by using the mega auction even.

Though the exact date for the IPL 2025 mega auction has not yet been revealed, the event is expected to be held in the 3rd or 4th week of November 2024 in UAE or London.

SRH Released And Retained Players 2025 (Probable)

As per the report, the teams must announce their final retention list by 5 PM IST on October 31.

According to the new IPL 2025 retention rules released by BCCI, each team can retain six players from their existing squad, either via retention or by using the Right to Match (RTM) option.

Sunrisers Hyderabad is expected to stay with the previous combinations with the help of the BCCI’s six-player retention rule. And also the franchise is expected to stick with the same set of support staff for the upcoming season.

According to the IPL committee rules, each franchise can have 25 players in their squad, out of which a maximum of 8 can be foreign players. In Playing 11, each team can have a maximum of 4 overseas players in the mix.

IPL 2025 Auction Date

The 2025 mega auction is expected to be held in the 3rd or 4th week of November 2024 in UAE or London. The 2025 mega auction will be a more than-a-day event, unlike the mini auctions which will be hosted in a day.

Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, BCCI increases the purse value of each team by INR 20 crores over the existing purse value of about INR 100 crores.

The final purse value of the team will be decided right after they submit the retained and released players list for the event. Sunrisers Hyderabad Purse Value Before Auction will be 120 Crore without announcing retention and releasing players list.
