While disclosing this, Ritesh Deshmukh said that everyone did not take any fee for working in the film in honor of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Ritesh Deshmukh told that he has made this film with the aim of conveying the legacy of Maharaj Shivaji to the people in the right way. For this he read many books and worked very hard. Showing respect towards Maharaja Shivaji, every artist played an important role in the film without any fee. Everyone worked for the Maharaja for free and did not take any fees.

Guest appearance of Salman Khan

Jio Studios and Mumbai Film Company’s film Raja Shivaji was released on 1 May. This film got the maximum number of screens in Maharashtra. This film has been released in both Hindi and Marathi languages. Salman Khan made a guest appearance in the film and played the role of Jeeva Mahale, the bodyguard of Shivaji Maharaj. He did not charge any fees for this film.

These actors did not take fees

In the film, Abhishek Bachchan played the role of Sambhaji Shahji Bhosale, elder brother of Shivaji Maharaj. Sanjay Dutt played the role of Afzal Khan. Apart from this, many actors including Genelia Deshmukh, Vidya Balan, Sachin Khedekar, Boman Irani, Mahesh Manjrekar, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan and Jitendra Joshi have also played a part in the film.

Story written in three and a half years

While talking about this film, Ritesh Deshmukh had said that he took about three and a half years to write the story of this film. He was working on the script of the film for three and a half years. He had said that the history of Maharaja Shivaji is so big that it is very difficult to cover it in one film.
