2026 Kia Sonet 2026 : Kia India has introduced the MY26 model of its popular compact SUV Kia Sonet in the market with many updates. The Kia Sonet sub-4 meter SUV has been updated with new turbo-petrol and diesel variants, making the option of automatic transmission now more readily available. Apart from this, Sonet will now also get a new Magma Red color option. The most important thing is that now the automatic variant of Sonet has become available for less than Rs 10 lakh, making it a good option for customers looking to buy an automatic SUV on a budget.

The starting price of the diesel automatic variant is around Rs 9.78 lakh (ex-showroom).
The turbo petrol DCT automatic variant starts at around Rs 9.9 lakh.
This means that now customers will also get the option to buy an automatic SUV for less than Rs 10 lakh.
engine
The Sonet’s 1.5-litre diesel engine now also has the option of a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. This engine generates power of 116 hp and torque of 250 Nm.
automatic option
Now this automatic option starts with the HTE(O) variant, which is priced at around Rs 9.78 lakh (ex-showroom). Apart from this, this combination will also be available in variants like HTK(O), HTK+ and HTK+(O). Earlier the diesel automatic variant was available only in high variants, but now it has been made more affordable.
mileage
According to the company, the ARAI mileage of the diesel automatic variant is 18.6 kmpl, while the diesel manual variant gives a mileage of around 22.3 kmpl.
