2026 Suzuki New-Generation Burgman Street Launched In India At Rs 1.01 Lakh
The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturing giant Suzuki Motorcycle India has officially launched the new-generation Burgman Street in India. This time around, the vehicle has received a much-needed generational update, as it has not been updated since its original 2018 debut. The new Burgman Street will continue to target the premium 125cc maxi-scooter segment. The new 2026 Burgman Street has been launched in India with a starting price of Rs 1.01 lakh, which is Rs 3,500 more than the previous generation model.
As mentioned, the launch price of the base Burgman Street Ride Connect Edition is Rs 1,01,944 (ex-showroom). Then there is the Ride Connect TFT Edition, which is the top-end variant, and it is priced at Rs 1,13,220 (ex-showroom). There is a noticeable price hike, as the previous generation model was priced in the range of Rs 97,403 and Rs 1,11,629.
The new Suzuki Burgman Street will be available across dealerships starting April 8, 2026. As for the existing Burgman Street EX, it will continue to be offered alongside with no changes. Coming to the variants, the new model is being offered in two variants. The first is the Ride Connect Edition, and it will be available in Metallic Royal Bronze, Pearl Mat Shadow Green, Pearl Grace White, Metallic Matte Black No. 2, and Metallic Matte Stellar Blue.

Meanwhile, the second variant will be the Ride Connect TFT Edition, which will also be offered with multiple color options. These will include dual-tone premium options with Metallic Mat Luxe Copper accents: Black with Copper, Blue with Copper, Silver with Copper, Bronze with Copper, and White with Copper. The company is now focusing more on premium and metallic finishes.

In terms of the main highlights of the new Suzuki Burgman Street, it will now be offered with a visual overhaul inspired by bigger Burgman models such as the Suzuki Burgman 400 and Suzuki Burgman 750. There is a new design with body-mounted split LED headlamps with brighter illumination for improved visibility.
The maxi scooter also gets LED DRLs with aggressive “brow” styling, integrated LED indicators, a large LED tail lamp with a premium look, a dark smoked windscreen, metallic finish emblems, and redesigned apron and body panels. The new 2026 Suzuki Burgman now looks more premium and aggressive.

On the features side, the new Burgman Street offers a smart key remote fob with loss prevention, answer-back function, a 4.2-inch color TFT LCD, a cleaner and more modern interface, smartphone connectivity via Suzuki Ride Connect, and increased under-seat storage from 21.5 litres to 24.6 litres. It can now fit a full-face helmet. Other features include two front storage compartments, a USB charging port (2A), dual utility hooks, an easy Start System (one-push start), a side stand interlock, and a center stand as standard.
As for the powerplant, the 2026 Burgman Street continues to come equipped with the same 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. It makes 8.3 bhp and 10.2 Nm of peak torque. Compared to the previous model, the torque has increased from 9.8 Nm to 10.2 Nm. It will now offer better low-end performance. The scooter also gets the SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) engine, which offers better efficiency and smoother acceleration.

In terms of the suspension, it gets telescopic forks at the front and a swingarm-mounted monoshock at the rear. It also gets a front disc brake and a drum brake at the rear. The 2026 Burgman Street also gets 12-inch alloy wheels at the front and rear. It also gets a 5.5-litre fuel tank and a fuel injection system, along with electric and kick start.
