2026 Volkswagen Taigun Facelift Launched: Prices Start From Rs 10.99 Lakh
Volkswagen unveiled the new Taigun facelift in India on April 9, and now it has revealed the pricing. The new Taigun facelift starts at Rs 10.99 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 19.29 lakh. When compared to its cousin, Skoda Kushaq facelift, it is Rs 30,000 more expensive. As for the deliveries of the new Taigun, they are expected to commence by the end of April or by early May.
The Volkswagen Taigun facelift is being offered in 7 variants. Pricing of the base Taigun facelift variant, which is the Comfortline with the manual gearbox, is Rs 10.99 lakh. Then there is the Highline variant with a manual gearbox at Rs 12.69 lakh and Highline automatic at Rs 13.79 lakh.

Coming to the Highline Plus variant, it is being offered at Rs 14.29 lakh (manual) and Rs 15.4 lakh (8-speed automatic). The Taigun facelift GT Line, which gets the blacked-out detailing but with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol, is being offered at Rs 14.59 lakh (manual) and Rs 15.74 lakh (8-speed automatic).
Towards the end of the lineup is the top variant, which is priced at Rs 15.99 lakh (manual) and Rs 17.17 lakh (8-speed automatic). Finally, the top-of-the-line GT Plus Chrome variant with the 1.5-litre TSI turbo petrol and the DSG gearbox has been priced at Rs 18.99 lakh, and the GT Plus Sport with the DSG gearbox has been priced at Rs 19.29 lakh.

Volkswagen has given the Taigun facelift a lot of updates on the outside as well as the inside. Starting off with the exterior, the new Taigun facelift now gets a completely redesigned front fascia, including sleeker adaptive LED headlights, a new connecting LED light bar, and an illuminated Volkswagen logo.
It also gets a new and slimmer grille and a chunkier new front bumper with wide horizontal slats and a large air dam. The standard model gets chrome on the front; meanwhile, the GT variants get blacked-out details. The overall side profile of the new Taigun facelift remains the same, but it now gets a set of new 16-inch (lower trims) and 17-inch alloy wheels (higher trims).
The GT variants also get blacked-out alloy wheels, and top-of-the-line 1.5-litre variants get all four disc brakes with brake calipers painted in red. As for the rear end, the SUV gets an updated and connected LED taillight with a new lighting signature and an illuminated Volkswagen logo. The rear bumper has also been revised.

On the inside, the new Taigun facelift gets new trims and 6 upholstery options depending on the variant. The 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system remains the same as before but now offers better responsiveness, a new interface, and more data. It also gets wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and it now comes with Google Automotive AI-based voice commands.

Another major upgrade is the 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster, which previously was an 8-inch unit. Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof, front parking sensors, ventilated and powered front seats, wireless charging, cruise control, and automatic climate control.

Powertrain options have remained the same as before. It still comes offered with the same 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine, which makes 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque, with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. However, the 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox has been replaced by an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The 1.5-litre TSI turbo petrol, which makes 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque, is now only being offered with the 7-speed DSG gearbox.
