2026 World Athletics Relays Highlights: Indian 4x100m mixed relay team of Ragul Kumar, Nithya Gandhe, Animesh Kujur and Sneha SS crossed the finish line with a new National Record time, clocking 41.35s. The previous NR stood at 42.30s. They finished 6th in their heat and tenth overall.
A mix up between Ragul Kumar and Gurindervir Singh leads to another DNF for the men’s 4×100 relay team.
The women’s 4x100m finished last with 53.90s after a baton exchange slip-up between Tamanna and Nithya Gandhe. Nithya had to return to pick and restart the race.
The men’s 4×100 team was disqualified after another baton exchange fiasco and Anol Jacob pulled his muscle midway through the 4x400m men’s relay, resulting in another DNF from Indian team.
None of the Indian teams qualified for the 2027 World Athletics Championships in Beijing.
