New Sedan: India’s executive sedan segment may see a big change in 2026. Hyundai has already launched the Hyundai Verna facelift, while Skoda Auto’s Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen’s Volkswagen Virtus and Honda’s Honda City facelift models are coming soon.

2026 Honda City Facelift: What’s new?
Recently, spy pictures of 2026 Honda City facelift have surfaced during testing in Brazil. The car was seen completely in camouflage, but some important changes are visible. It can get a new front grille, sharper bumper and updated headlights, which give it a more sporty look. The influence of the new Honda Civic can be seen on the design. New alloy wheels are expected in the side profile and updated bumper at the rear. The interior may see some minor changes including new seat upholstery, while the overall dimensions will remain almost the same.

Features and Technology
New features like 360° camera and ventilated seats can be made standard in the upcoming model in India. Apart from this, features like 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 8-speaker sound system, ambient lighting and automatic climate control will be available as before. Level-2 ADAS may also continue for safety.

Engine and Performance
The 2026 Honda City facelift in India will get a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, which generates 121 PS power and 145 Nm torque. It will be offered with 6-speed manual and CVT gearbox. Whereas in Brazil, the same engine gives 126 PS power and generates more torque with ethanol.

launch timeline
According to reports, this model can be presented in Brazil at the Interlagos Festival in August 2026. It is expected that it will be launched soon in India with similar updates.
