Ranchi: After the Supreme Court ban on electoral bonds, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha received a donation of Rs 21.10 crore in the financial year 2025-25. With this the party fund increased to Rs 33.20 crore. That means 174 percent more donations were received. The party received this donation through various companies and electoral trusts. This has been revealed from the details given by JMM to the Election Commission. According to this, a total of 188 donors have donated to JMM so far. Of these, Rs 24.40 crore came from corporate donors, while Rs 6.70 crore came from individual donors. It is noteworthy that Electoral Trust is a registered organization, which collects donations from corporate companies and individuals and sends them to political parties. This trust has to give complete information about donations to the commission. With this, a record of donations is maintained and it is known how much donation was received by which party.

Mining company Vedanta Limited was the largest donor to JMM. Rs 20 crore was given to JMM by the company. Rs 1.90 crore was given by the second corporate company Fagu Jaimangal Infra. Among individual donors, Shiv Kumar Tiwari donated Rs 1.98 crore and Jaimangal Singh donated Rs 99.70 lakh to the party fund. The party received donations not only from Jharkhand but from many states. Half of the total donation has been given from companies in the infrastructure and construction sector. After this, companies from steel and iron manufacturing, mining and metals sectors have contributed. These are the sectors which have an important contribution in the economy of mineral-rich Jharkhand.

BJP received 6654 crore donations

According to Jharkhand BJP officials, there is no details of the party’s donations at the state level. But in the financial year 2024-25, the party has received donations of Rs 6654 crore. Various companies and trusts from Jharkhand have also donated to the party. Among the major companies that have donated to BJP at the national level, Serum Institute of India has donated Rs 100 crore, Rungta Group has donated Rs 95 crore, Bajaj Group has donated Rs 74 crore, ITC has donated Rs 72.5 crore and Vedanta has donated Rs 65 crore. The party received donations of Rs 3112 crore this year from nine electoral trusts.

According to Congress leaders, the party received a total donation of Rs 522.13 crore in the financial year 2024-25. This was much less than the previous financial year. ITC Group donated Rs 15.5 crore to Congress, while firms linked to Kotak Group donated Rs 10 crore. Here, according to the information received from the State Congress, no details have been sent at the state level. State RJD leaders say that no such details have been submitted from the Jharkhand level. The details of the elections have been given in an integrated form by the party.
