222 dreaded criminals encounter in Yogi Raj, assets of more than 142 billion seized, UP Police became the role model of the country

Lucknow. In UP, Yogi Adityanath Sarkar has uprooted the roots from small to big criminals in eight years due to Zero Tolerance Policy adopted on the crime of Yogi Adityanath Government. It is being discussed all over the country. In fact, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath), while taking over the state in 2017, adopted the zero tolerance policy as soon as he took the command of the state, launched such a war against the dreaded crime, mafia, today mafia and criminals have migrated from the state.

Let us tell you that Yogi Government of UP is completing its 8 -year term on March 19. During these eight years of tenure, the UP government has worked on the Zero Tolerance Policy. During this time, the UP police piled up 222 notorious criminals in the encounter, while 20,221 miscreants have been caught. 8,118 miscreants were injured by police bullet. In eight years, 79,984 criminals have been acted upon under the Gangster Act. NSA action has been taken against 930. Property worth more than 142 billion has also been seized.

DGP Prashant Kumar said that 31 mafia and 74 co-criminals were punished for life imprisonment/imprisonment and fine in different prosecution of 73 mafia and 74 co-criminals in 73 prosecutions in pending cases of 68 mafia criminals identified from 2017 to December 2024. Two of these criminals have also been sentenced to death. 795 prosecution were registered against 68 identified mafia and 1,408 colleagues of their gang in the state, out of which 617 have been arrested.

In addition, arms licenses of 359 criminals were revoked and action was taken against 18 criminals under the NSA. 752 criminals were punished under the Gangster Act, while illegal assets worth more than Rs 4,076 crore were seized. The government has also taken a tough stand on crimes against women and minors. So far, the culprits have been punished in 27,425 prosecution, 11,254 prosecution of Poxo Act and 3,775 cases of dowry murder.

51 criminals killed, 6,287 life imprisonment

As part of strict action against criminals, 51 accused under Operation Convision from July 2023 to December 2024, 6,287 criminals life imprisonment, 1,091 criminals sentenced to more than 20 years, 3,868 criminals were sentenced to 10 to 19 years and 5,788 accused were sentenced to 5,788. The Yogi government formed a four-tier anti-land mafia task force and freed more than 66,000 hectares of land from illegal occupation. Legal action was taken against them by identifying 142 land mafia. 653 heinous crimes have been stopped by the Special Task Force (STF) since 2017. At the same time, ATS has arrested 130 terrorists and 171 Rohingya/Bangladeshi criminals and their colleagues since 2017.

State government's policing model
