New Delhi. An important update has come for crores of beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana i.e. PM-Kisan. The government is preparing to release the 23rd installment soon, but the amount of ₹ 2000 may get stuck in the account of farmers whose mobile number is entered wrongly or has been changed. Therefore, it is very important to update your mobile number before the installment arrives.

When will the 23rd installment come?

The 22nd installment of PM-Kisan Yojana was released on 13 March 2026. Since this scheme transfers money every four months, the 23rd installment is likely to arrive between June and July 2026. It is mandatory to have the correct mobile number for installment related SMS alerts and e-KYC process.

How to update mobile number online sitting at home

First of all go to pmkisan.gov.in and click on Update Mobile Number option in the Farmers Corner section on the homepage. Enter your Aadhaar number and captcha code and press Search. OTP will come on the number linked to Aadhaar, enter it. After this, enter the new active number in the Enter New Mobile Number box and complete the update by submitting the OTP again.

Offline options are also available

If the old number is registered in Aadhaar itself, then you can get it updated for just Rs 50 by going to the nearest Aadhaar center or post office. Farmers troubled by technology can also get their details corrected through biometric authentication at the nearest CSC i.e. Customer Service Center.

These 3 tasks are also necessary to get the installment

Apart from the mobile number, three more tasks must be completed otherwise the name may be removed from the beneficiary list. First, complete e-KYC through mobile OTP or face authentication. Second, ensure verification of your land documents i.e. Land Seeding. Third, link the bank account to Aadhaar and keep DBT active. Farmers are advised to use only the official PM-Kisan website or mobile app.
