Recently, the government had spread smiles on the faces of lakhs of farmers by releasing the 23rd installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Now it is the turn of the 24th installment, for which crores of farmers are eagerly waiting. But wait! If you want the next installment of ₹2,000 to come directly into your bank account without any hassle, there are some very important things you need to do now. A small mistake can hamper your hard-earned money.
e-KYC is most important, do not delay
Being a beneficiary of PM Kisan Yojana, your first step is to complete ‘e-KYC’. The government has made it mandatory so that the money reaches the right and eligible farmers only. If you have not done e-KYC yet, then delay or stoppage of installment is certain. There are three easy ways to complete this: You can do it through OTP on the PM Kisan portal or mobile app, go to a CSC center and get biometric e-KYC done, or use ‘face authentication’ in the mobile app. Don’t put it off until tomorrow, get it done today!
Why is farmer ID and Aadhaar linking necessary?
This time e-KYC alone is not enough. The government has now also made ‘Unique Farmer ID’ mandatory. This is your digital identity that connects all the information about your land and farming together. Also, do not forget to link your Aadhar card with your bank account. If your bank account is not linked to Aadhaar, the payment may get stuck. Go to the bank and immediately check your KYC and Aadhaar linking status.
These mistakes may cause interruption in payment
Not only KYC, many other small mistakes can also stop your installment. If your Aadhar card and bank account information are not matching, your bank account is closed, the IFSC code is changed, or there is a dispute in the land records, the system may consider you ineligible. If there is any update pending in the land records, immediately go to your local office (Patwari or Agriculture Department) and get it corrected.
When will the 24th installment come?
Now the question in your mind will be that when will the 24th installment come? Officially, the government has not yet given any date, but if we look at the past pattern, it is estimated that this installment will October 2026 Can be issued till.
Who are left out of this scheme? It is also important to know which farmers are not eligible for this help. If you pay income tax, are a government employee, a current or former MLA/MP/Mayor, receive a pension of more than Rs 10,000, or are a professional like a lawyer/doctor/engineer, then you are ineligible for the benefits of this scheme.
To check your status, simply visit the PM Kisan Portal, click on ‘Beneficiary List’ in the ‘Farmer Corner’ and select your state, district and village to see your name in the list of beneficiaries. Update your information in time and rest assured!
