New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated the 28th Commonwealth Speakers and Presiding Officers Conference (CSPOC) in the Parliament complex. During this, PM Modi demonstrated India’s growing strength in front of the stalwarts from all over the world. He proudly said that today India has emerged as the fastest growing economy in the world. While sharing a big figure, the PM said that in the last few years, 25 crore people of India have succeeded in breaking the shackles of poverty and coming out of it.

India’s edge in digital payment and vaccine

Addressing the conference, PM Modi enumerated a long list of India’s achievements. He said that today India’s UPI has become the world’s largest digital payment system. Not only this, since the Corona period till now, India also has the pride of being the world’s largest vaccine producer. The PM stressed that India is now setting an example for the world in terms of technology and service.

New record made in infrastructure and startup

Referring to India’s economic and structural strength, the Prime Minister said that the country has today become the world’s number-2 steel producer. India is not behind anyone in the field of startups and today we are the third largest startup ecosystem in the world. India has taken a huge leap in the field of aviation and now we have become the third largest aviation market in the world.

Expansion of railway and metro network

India has also set new records in terms of traffic and connectivity. PM Modi said that India today has the fourth largest rail network in the world. At the same time, when it comes to urban development, India is operating the third largest metro rail network in the world. These achievements impressed the foreign guests present at the conference.

This special conference will run for three days

This important conference is being presided over by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Let us tell you that a total of 61 speakers and presiding officers from 42 countries of the Commonwealth are participating in this CSPOC conference. This conference will start from January 14 to January 16, i.e. for a total of three days, in which parliamentary systems and democratic strengthening will be discussed.
