According to Hindu calendar, Navami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month will start on 26 March 2026 at 11:48 am and end on 27 March 2026 at 10:06 am (Ram Navami 2026). In such a situation, many people will celebrate the festival of Ram Navami on 26th March. In Vaishnav tradition, Udaya Tithi is given more importance, hence in many places this festival will also be celebrated on 27 March 2026.

According to religious beliefs, worshiping Lord Shri Ram in the afternoon on the day of Ram Navami is considered especially fruitful. The auspicious time for midday puja of Ram Navami in the year 2026 will be from 11:13 am to 1:41 pm. By worshiping Lord Shri Ram at this time, it is believed that one gets special virtues and blessings.
Worship like this on Ram Navami
On the day of Ram Navami, devotees should wake up early in the morning and take bath and meditate. After this, offering water to Sun God is considered auspicious (Ram Navami 2026). To worship at home, spread a yellow cloth on a post in the north-east corner and install the idol or picture of Lord Shri Ram.
After this, offer Ganga water, sandalwood, flowers, incense, lamp, fruits and sweets and worship as per the rituals. Chanting Ram Mantra, reciting Ramraksha Stotra or reciting Chaupais of Ramcharitmanas during the puja is also considered auspicious. At last perform Aarti of Lord Shri Ram and distribute Prasad.
