New Delhi 11 January 2026: A total of 27 Indian citizens, who were brought to Myanmar with false job promises and forced to work illegally in a cyber scam, have been safely rescued and brought back to India yesterday.

These trapped Indian citizens were lured to the Myanmar border with false promises of employment, where they were subjected to forced labor, physical exploitation and cyber scams.
