Captain Divine and Tahuhu shine in New Zealand Women's victory, defeat Indian Women by 76 runs

New Zealand Women defeated Indian Women by 76 runs in the second match of the three-match ODI series with the help of brilliant performances from captain Sophie Devine and Lea Tahuhu. With this the series became tied at one each. The second ODI match was played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

Batting first, New Zealand Women scored 259 runs on the scoreboard after losing 9 wickets in 50 overs. Sophie Devine scored the most runs for New Zealand. He scored a half-century of 79 runs in 86 balls with the help of 7 fours and one six. Suzy Bates played a half-century of 58 runs with the help of 8 fours in 70 balls.

Maddy Green played an inning of 42 runs in 41 balls with the help of 5 fours. Georgia Plimmer played an inning of 41 runs in 50 balls with the help of 6 fours and one six. Bates and Plimmer gave a good start to the team by making a partnership of 87 (94) runs for the first wicket. Devine and Green added 82 (83) runs for the 5th wicket. Radha Yadav took maximum 4 wickets from India Women's side. Deepti Sharma managed to take 2 wickets. One wicket each went to the account of Saima Thakor and Priya Mishra.

Indian women's team, which came to chase the target, collapsed on the score of 183 in 47.1 overs. For India, the maximum runs came from the bat of Radha Yadav.
