3 days continuous rain-storm, hailstorm warning! Change in weather patterns from Delhi-NCR to UP, Punjab-Rajasthan
After a short break of two days, a new phase of rain is going to start in Delhi-NCR. Due to the active effect of Western Disturbance, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in North-West India during 2 to 5 April. Its maximum impact will be visible in various areas of North India on 3 and 4 April. Along with rain, warnings have also been issued for thunderstorms, strong winds and hailstorm at some places.
Due to this weather system, the effect of rain is going to spread to Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. There is a possibility of thunder, lightning and rain in the central parts of the country on April 6. According to the Meteorological Department, the continuous western disturbances had changed the weather of North India even in the last days of March.
Weather in Delhi today and coming days
It will be cloudy in Delhi on April 2, but there will be no rain. There is a possibility of rain along with thunder and lightning on April 3. Winds can blow at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour. There is an alert of one or two rounds of light rain on April 4. During this period, the weather will remain pleasant with winds blowing at a speed of 20 to 40 kilometers per hour. Light to heavy rain is expected on April 5 and an alert of strong winds has been issued from noon.
When and where will it rain in North India
There are chances of rain in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir on 3-4 and 7 April.
There is a possibility of rain and thunderstorm in Uttarakhand from 3 to 5 April.
There will be rain in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on 3-4 April.
There will be a period of rain in Delhi-NCR on 3rd and 4th April.
It is expected to rain in West UP on 3-5 April and in Eastern UP on 4-5 April.
There will be a period of rain in East Rajasthan on 3-4 and 6-7 April.
There are chances of rain, lightning and hail in Western Rajasthan on 2-4 and 6-7 April.
Impact of Western Disturbance on Delhi
The entire North India including Delhi, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh saw rain for 5-6 days in the last 10 days of March. There was change in the weather due to continuous western disturbance. However, the temperature did not drop much. Western disturbances are continuously forming in the Himalayan region, due to which snowfall is also continuing in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
Weather condition from Himachal Pradesh to Rajasthan
According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of moderate rain, thunder, lightning and strong winds in eastern Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. There is a possibility of rain, snowfall, lightning and thunderstorm in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir on 3-4 and 7 April. There will be rain in Uttarakhand from 3 to 5 April. Rain is expected again in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on 3 and 4 April. There is an alert of moderate rain, lightning and thunderstorm in Eastern Uttar Pradesh on 4-5 April, in Eastern Rajasthan on 3-4 and 6-7 April and in Western Rajasthan on 2-4 and 6-7 April.
Weather in Northeast India
The weather is going to change in Northeast India in the first week of April. There are chances of rain and thundershowers in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on April 2. There is a possibility of rain in Arunachal Pradesh on 4-5 April, in Assam and Meghalaya on 3-5 April and in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura on 3 April. There are chances of rain in Arunachal Pradesh on 5-7 April also.
Weather conditions in South India
Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka will receive light to moderate rain during the next 5 days. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Kerala-Mahe, Rayalaseema between 3rd to 5th April. There are chances of rain and lightning in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala and Karnataka also.
