An encounter is going on between security forces and Naxalites in Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-affected Narayanpur district. Three Naxalites have been killed in this. Police officials said that security forces were sent for anti-Naxal operation after receiving information about the presence of Maoists in Maad area on the border of Narayanpur and neighboring state Maharashtra.
Encounter between security forces and Naxalites
According to the information, the encounter between security forces and Naxalites started at 4 pm today. They said that intermittent firing is going on from both sides. All the security personnel are safe. The operation against Naxalites is going on in the area. Officials said that more information is awaited in this regard.
Narayanpur police said that AK-47 and other weapons and ammunition have been recovered from the spot. Search operation is going on. ITBP jawans have recovered IEDs planted by Naxalites in the forests of Kutulnar in Abujhmad of Narayanpur district.
