3 police stations of Bihar trapped in the game of brokerage, 10 policemen suspended; sitting investigation

Sanjay Singh, Patna. A big syndicate of brokerage within Bihar Police has been exposed. Bargaining of case diary was going on in Salkhua police station of Saharsa district. Kosi DIG conducted the raid on information received from the police headquarters. A broker has been caught. Original case diaries of 3 police stations have been found from his bag. After this, 10 policemen have been suspended. SIT has also been formed to investigate the matter.

Police headquarters in Patna had received secret information. It was told in the information that a person named Satish Kumar is doing brokerage in Salkhua police station of Saharsa. He does lobbying work through Police Station Head Mukesh Kumar and Police Sub Inspector Ravita Kumari. The information also said that Satish’s brother Chandrakishore Rajak is also involved in the drug business. Based on this input, Kosi area DIG Kumar Ashish conducted a surprise inspection of Salkhua police station. The broker was caught during inspection.

Confirmation of conversation between police station chief and broker

During the inspection the DIG found important clues. Investigation revealed that there was a phone conversation between police station incharge Mukesh Kumar and Satish Kumar. After this the police team started searching in the area. The team reached near Gospur temple. A young man was going there on a blue Pulsar bike. The police became suspicious of him. He was stopped.

Laptop and case diary taken out of the bag

Police searched the young man. He turned out to be Satish Kumar. His black bag was checked. A laptop, keyboard, mouse and charger were found in the bag. But the biggest revelation came when the original case diaries of three police stations were recovered from the bag. The diary was of Pipra, Salkhua and Navhatta police stations. There was a stir in the police department after government documents were found in the possession of an outsider.

Broker arrested, case registered

The police immediately arrested Satish Kumar. A case was registered against him in Salkhua police station. The accused has been sent to judicial custody. Police is interrogating him. It is being ascertained how the case diary reached him.

10 policemen suspended

Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the DIG took major action. 10 police officers were suspended with immediate effect. Salkhua police station incharge Mukesh Kumar Singh is also among those suspended. Apart from this, policemen from 3 districts have been suspended.

SIT will investigate the entire matter

SIT has been formed to thoroughly investigate the entire matter. The team will be led by Simri-Bakhtiyarpur SDPO Mukesh Kumar Thakur. SIT will find out how the case diary was leaked. How far is the brokerage network spread? Whether other policemen are involved in this or not. The DIG said that the culprits will not be spared under any circumstances.

DIG’s appeal to the public

Kosi DIG has appealed to the common people. He said that if any outsider is seen brokering or lobbying in any police station, then inform immediately. The name of the person giving information will be kept secret. Strict action will be taken on correct information.

How did the game of brokerage work?

Generally, case diary is the most confidential file of the police station. It contains complete information related to the case. It is alleged that the broker used to influence the case by taking money. He contacted both the victim and the accused. He used to bargain by showing the case diary. This game was going on with the connivance of the police officers. Now after the revelations the police department is facing disgrace.

There was a stir in the department

There is panic in the entire Kosi area police department after case diaries of three police stations were found with a broker. Senior officials are now talking about getting all the police stations investigated. It is being said that this is not a matter of just one police station.
