3 Shot, 1 Stabbed on Christmas Night
Phoenix, Arizona – A family dispute escalated into violence on Christmas night at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airportleaving three people shot and one stabbed. The incident occurred near a restaurant in Terminal 4outside the security perimeter, at approximately 9:45 p.m.police reported.
Details of the Incident
Responding to reports of gunfire, officers discovered three individuals with gunshot wounds and one individual with stab injuries. Phoenix Police Sergeant Mayra Reeson stated that all victims were transported to a hospital.

- A juvenile female and a man, who sustained a stab wound, were detained in the parking garage by responding officers.
Police believe all five individuals involved knew each other, but no formal interviews have been conducted yet.
Weapons Recovered, No Charges Filed
Weapons were recovered at the scene, but as of Thursday morning, no charges have been filed. Sergeant Reeson emphasized that the investigation is ongoing, with no further suspects being sought.
“I believe this was a family dispute that escalated,” Reeson told reporters. “This is scary … It was Christmas evening. Everybody is trying to get home.”
Separate Incident Adds to Chaos
During the investigation, a separate incident unfolded when a man, misinformed about an active shooter at the airport, arrived with a gun. Police detained him after an altercation, Reeson confirmed.
Airport Operations Resume
Despite the unsettling events, airport operations resumed shortly after police determined there was no active threat. Flights were not impacted, but authorities continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the incident.
It remains unclear whether the group involved in the dispute was at the airport for travel or another purpose.
