3030 crore super bridge on Brahmaputra in Guwahati: PM Modi inaugurated Kumar Bhaskar Verma Setu, know complete information

Guwahati. Amidst the excitement of assembly elections in Assam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Kumar Bhaskar Verma Bridge built on the Brahmaputra river. This modern 6-lane bridge connects Guwahati to North Guwahati and is the first extradosed bridge in Northeast India.

Travel time will be reduced by only 7 minutes.
After the construction of this bridge, built at a cost of about Rs 3,030 crore, the travel time between Guwahati and North Guwahati will reduce to just 7 minutes. This will provide great relief to local people and traffic.

Specializing in technical and security-
The bridge has been designed keeping in mind the earthquake prone area.

The base isolation technology used in this will reduce earthquake tremors.

High-performance cables have been installed to ensure strength and durability of the bridge.

The condition of the bridge will be monitored through Bridge Health Monitoring System (BHMS), any damage will be detected in time.
