35-year-old man on ventilator after stone debris falls from Delhi building

Neeraj Kumar, a 35-year-old data entry operator, is currently on ventilator support following a serious head injury caused by stone debris falling from a building in New Delhi. The incident occurred on May 28, 2026, around 2:00 PM, according to the New Delhi Police.

A PCR call was received at PS Tilak Marg reporting that a person had been injured after a piece of stone debris fell from the outer portion of the Doordarshan Building-B in New Delhi. Police staff immediately arrived at the scene and found that Neeraj Kumar, a resident of Sultanpuri, Delhi, had been shifted to Dr. RML Hospital for medical treatment.

Kumar works as a Data Entry Operator on a contractual basis at the DGDD office. Police officials said that upon inspection, stones appeared to have detached from the building’s outer structure.

Regarding the investigation, police reported that the injured person suffered a head injury and was declared unfit to provide a statement by attending doctors. Further inquiries and legal action are ongoing.
