IND vs AUS: Alex Carey scratched Team India's old wound before the Adelaide Test; Said- I missed the chance

IND vs AUS 2nd Test: The second Test match between India and Australia will be played at Adelaide Oval from 6 December. This is the same ground where a shameful record was recorded against India four years ago. Regarding this, the latest statement of Australian wicketkeeper Alex Carey has freshened the wounds of India.

Actually, India and Australia last met at Adelaide Oval in December 2020, when Australia won by 8 wickets. India was all out on 36 runs in the second innings of this match. Now Australian wicketkeeper Alex Carey has taken a dig at this defeat. Carey sarcastically said that the Indian innings ended soon, which was missed.

Carey told Adelaide media on Tuesday, “There have been many great days in the history of cricket but we cannot expect it to happen again. We come down with a process and plan. We try to implement it, no matter what. I had not played a Test match here then. “I missed it, it happened so fast.” As soon as he said this he started laughing.

“We are excited about the match, and our record in the pink ball Test has given us a lot of confidence,” the Australian wicketkeeper said. He said, “I can't say with certainty.” We are very confident and I am sure India will be full of confidence from their win in Perth. It will be a great fight.”

Regarding Jasprit Bumrah's bowling, Carey said, “Bumrah is definitely a great bowler and he has been performing well for the last several years. Our batsmen are also world class and always find ways to find solutions. We have assessed his bowling. Hopefully we will be successful in facing his first second spell.”
