4 Odisha Players In East Zone Squad For BCCI Inter-Zonal Multi-Day Trophy; Madhuri Named Vice-Captain

Bhubaneswar: Four Odisha players have been selected in the 15-member East Zone squad for the Senior Women’s Inter-Zonal Multi Day Trophy.

The chosen cricketers are batters Madhuri Meheta and Sarita Meher, off-spinning allrounder Sushree Dibyadarshini and right-arm medium-pacer Reema Laxmi Ekka. The selectors announced the squad based on performances in the recent Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy.

Madhuri has been named vice-captain of East Zone, while Bengal’s Saika Ishaque will lead the side.

The squad includes 4 players each from Odisha and Bengal, three from Jharkhand, two from Assam, and one each from Bihar and Tripura.

Odisha’s Madhusmita Behera has been appointed assistant coach of the East Zone team.
