Hurricane Helen has caused widespread devastation in the area. Due to this many trees have been uprooted and many houses have been damaged. Due to the storm, a tree fell on a house, due to which a woman living there, her one-month-old twin baby and an elderly woman died.

Not only this, three fire fighters also died during the relief operation at the incident site. According to the calculations of news agency Associated Press, at least 44 people have lost their lives in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia due to Hurricane Helen. Hurricane Helene is causing power outages at some hospitals in southern Georgia.
