'This is worse than 46 all out', former New Zealand player's sharp attack on Team India

The New Zealand cricket team has strengthened its hold on the second Test match being played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. By the end of the second day's play, the Kiwi team has scored 198 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in their second innings and now their total lead has reached 301 runs.

Earlier on the second day, Team India was all out after scoring 156 runs and Kiwi team got a lead of 103 runs on the basis of first innings. Indian fans and cricket pundits were quite disappointed after seeing the Indian team's poor performance with the bat in the second consecutive Test. Even former New Zealand cricketer Ian Smith criticized the Indian team while commentating in the live match.

Ian Smith slammed the Indian team, saying that this was a worse performance than their collapse in Bengaluru in the first innings of the first Test. “If you ask me, that's worse than 46 all-outs. That's some poor batting and shot selection. I can understand the first Test, but instead of playing myself, batting for time, someone The reason is that India are focusing on bowling. It is only the second day of the Test match that they can play, but the way India are. Playing, none of them are going to last here long.”

Former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble agreed with Smith's view. He also said that the way India were trying to play cross-batted shots was not the right approach for the Pune pitch. Kumble said, “On a surface like this, you need a little time. We talked about the importance of playing those 15-20 balls and if you want to play straight away then it can be done. Yes, The wicket is turning and staying straight, but no one expected India to lose six wickets in this session.”
