5. Rajgir International Stadium, Bihar

For this reason, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced the construction of a new stadium in Rajgir in 2018. The work on this stadium with a capacity of 45,000 spectators was 40% completed by January 2023.

4. Mangalagiri International Cricket Stadium, Amravati

A new international stadium in Amravati has been under construction for several years. In August last year, newly elected Andhra Cricket Association president Kesineni Shivanath confirmed that work on the stadium would be completed soon. He said that the work on the stadium has progressed rapidly in the last few years and by 2026 it will be ready to host international matches.

3. Cricket stadium being built in Nathdwara near Udaipur

IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals gets a lot of love from its home fans. But due to lack of stadium, Rajasthan Royals have had to play some of their matches in Assam for the last two seasons. To bridge this gap and promote cricket in Udaipur, the authorities planned to build a stadium near Udaipur. This will be the first cricket stadium in India to have a 5-star hotel. This stadium will be able to seat 35 thousand spectators.

2. Varanasi International Cricket Stadium

Work is going on at a very fast pace to prepare a big stadium in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. This stadium will be the most unique stadium in the history of cricket, it is inspired by Lord Shiva. The authorities have planned to install trishul-shaped floodlights, crescent-shaped roof, ghat-step-like seating arrangements and bel patra-shaped metal sheets. Also, the shape of the media box will be like Shiva's Damru.

1. Gorakhpur International Stadium

On 3 January 2025, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the construction of an international cricket stadium in Gorakhpur. There are plans to build the city's first mini-sports complex on 33 acres to promote sports culture in Gorakhpur and surrounding rural areas. Uttar Pradesh already has three international cricket stadiums. With the construction of this stadium, the craze for cricket in the state will further increase.
