For this reason, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced the construction of a new stadium in Rajgir in 2018. The work on this stadium with a capacity of 45,000 spectators was 40% completed by January 2023.

4. Mangalagiri International Cricket Stadium, Amravati

A new international stadium in Amravati has been under construction for several years. In August last year, newly elected Andhra Cricket Association president Kesineni Shivanath confirmed that work on the stadium would be completed soon. He said that the work on the stadium has progressed rapidly in the last few years and by 2026 it will be ready to host international matches.

3. Cricket stadium being built in Nathdwara near Udaipur

To bridge this gap and promote cricket in Udaipur, the authorities planned to build a stadium near Udaipur. This will be the first cricket stadium in India to have a 5-star hotel. On 3 January 2025, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the construction of an international cricket stadium in Gorakhpur.
