5 storey building collapses, many people including coaching students feared trapped under debris

Actually, the most disturbing thing that has come to light about this accident is that a coaching institute was running on the ground floor of this five-storey building. Since it was Saturday evening, students were present in the institute. According to police officials, at the same time when the children were studying below, construction work was going on on the upper floors of the building. It is suspected that due to the heavy work going on on the upper floors or some technical flaw, the entire building became weak and collapsed. According to the local people, suddenly there was a loud bang-like sound and within no time the entire building got covered in a cloud of dust.

Area entangled between police and administration

After this major accident, some confusion is also being seen at the administrative level. According to Delhi Police, this entire incident took place in the area under Mehrauli police station area. On the other hand, the report of news agency PTI has claimed that this accident took place in Saket area. However, considering the seriousness of the incident, police and Delhi Disaster Management teams from both the police stations are ready on the spot. The first priority is to remove the debris and safely rescue the innocent people buried below.
