I also fast during that time to support my fellow practicing doctors. Our demands were not met. The government process is very slow. If the government wants, it can easily accept our demands. But they don't want that. Because the culture of corruption and intimidation has taken deep roots in it. They know this can cause problems. Is Sanjay Roy the only culprit? Is Sanjay Roy so influential that everyone from the Police Commissioner to the Chief Minister is interested in tampering with evidence? He said, “Definitely some big people are involved in this.”

Another practicing doctor, Abid Hasan, said that we know that the government will not do anything. We cannot expect anything more from a government which is involved in hiding and destroying evidence. We wanted CBI to investigate the matter. But the charge sheet filed with them is a bad case. We cannot expect justice from them. According to him, Sanjay Roy is the only accused. The truth is that they are systematically hiding who is above them. Even the Solicitor General is not working in our favor. Meanwhile, the All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has announced a nationwide hunger strike tomorrow (09 October) in support of the strike of practicing doctors of West Bengal.
