51 people died due to sudden storm and flood in Spain, chances of bad weather in future also
Barcelona: 51 people died in Spain due to the sudden storm and subsequent floods. Also, many cars parked on the roadside were washed away. Many villages have been flooded. Due to this, rail traffic in many areas has been affected. After Wednesday, there is a possibility of similar weather for the next day also. Giving information, Spain's National Meteorological Service said that the impact of the storm is expected to last till Thursday.
Spanish authorities said Wednesday that flash floods across the country have killed 51 people, swept away several cars, inundated villages and blocked rail lines and highways. Emergency services in the eastern Valencia region have confirmed the death toll.
Torrential rain caused flooding in eastern and southern parts of Spain on Tuesday. A train carrying 300 people derailed near Málaga, railway authorities said. However, there have been no casualties. High-speed rail service between the city of Valencia and Madrid is disrupted.

Police and rescue services used helicopters to rescue victims from homes and cars. More than 1,000 Spanish emergency response teams were deployed to flood-ravaged areas. Spain's central government has set up a crisis committee to help with rescue efforts.
